Simply Italian is at 15-18 East Parade on the Old Town seafront, backing onto West Street.
Friday 1st December
4-8pm - DUO BOGOF - mysterious acts and bad magic - on and around West Street.
- Grotto-esque by Peter Quinnell (side window of Simply Italian, Cutter Lane).
- Street decorations and illuminations by Radiator Arts, throughout West Street.
- Open studios - Workship Studios, Hare & Hawthorne press, Olivia Bishop Studio.
8pm - A Christmas Carol by candlelight performed by Anthony Roberts, at Simply Italian.
Saturday 2nd December
2-6pm - Sybil the Snail from the Insect Circus, slithering a circuit around West Street/ George Street.
2-4pm - Ye Olde Curiosity Swap Shop, by Transition Town Hastings at Simply Italian, East Parade.
11am - 8pm - Open Studios, street illuminations & Grotto-esque, throughout West St/ Cutter Lane.

Sunday 3rd December
11- 12.30 - Magical storytelling & projections with Ed Boxall at Simply Italian.
2-4pm - Family friendly Christmas craft workshops at Simply Italian.
11-5pm - Open Studios on West Street, street decorations and Grotto-esque.
Our first event Illuminating West Street: A Winter Salon in partnership with Home Live Art has been funded by Arts Council England and will run over the first weekend in December, a programme of free special events & performances on and around West Street featuring:
'Sybil' - a ten foot snail from the Insect Circus
A vanishing lady, a white rabbit and other mysterious acts & encounters presented by Duo Bogof
A Christmas Carol by candlelight read by Anthony Roberts, director of Colchester Arts Centre
A Christmas 'Grottoesque' by artist Peter Quinnell
Street decorations and illuminations from Radiator Arts
Ye Olde Curiosity Swap Shop presented by Transition Town Hastings
Family storytelling, singing and projections by artist/ musician Ed Boxall
Workshops
+ Open studios
